Down Syndrome Education Conference
The Down Syndrome Education Conference Dublin 2010 offers information and practical advice to help
parents and professionals provide the most effective education, therapy, care and support for children and
young people with Down syndrome.
Expert training for families and professionals presented by experts from Down Syndrome Education International, this conference provides up-to-date guidance on language, literacy, numeracy
and social development from birth to adolescence.
It will be presented using Targeted ‘Essentials’ and ‘In Depth’ Tracks.
Targeted one-day and two-day tracks share evidence-based teaching techniques for preschool, childhood and adolescent years. One-day ‘Essentials’ Tracks provide information particularly suitable for families.
The two-day ‘In Depth’ Tracks provide a greater level of detail and are particularly suitable for professionals. The Education Conference also offers a special two-day track for speech and language therapists.
The Department of Education has sanctioned substitute Teachers for Schools
who want to release Teachers wishing to attend.

The Down Syndrome Education Conference Dublin 2010 is taking place from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 October 2010 at The Grand Hotel, Malahide, County Dublin.This venue is just 5 minutes from the M50 motorway, 25 minutes from Dublin City and 15 minutes from Dublin International airport.
Delegate fees:
Early booking rates of €160 (saving €40 on the full rate of €200) for the
one-day ‘Essentials’ Tracks and €320 (saving €80 on the full rate of €400) for
the two-day ‘In Depth’ Tracks are available on places booked and paid for before
10 September 2010. On top of this, Down Syndrome Dublin will give an additional discount (up to a maximum of €70) - just retain your receipt of registration and payment and DSDublin will cover this extra discount after the conference is completed.
